The Missionary Group
The
Missionary group in Divyadaan (Salesian Institute of Philosophy, Nashik- India)
is a group of young Salesians volunteering already now to work in the Missions.
At present there are 13 members under the animating presence of Fr. Tony D’Souza,
SDB a former missionary in Africa and Kuwait. The motto for the year 2014-15,
which we have chosen is “BE MY WITNESSES.”
The Blog
The
blog named ‘Divyadaan Missionary’ (http://divyamission.blogspot.in/)
is a venture for further communication with missionaries whom we know and wish
to know. The blog deals with different
topics and timely information on area-wise missionary activity. It will be
updated regularly.
The Steering
We
ourselves receive twice a month conference from our animator Fr. Tony D’Souza,sdb.
In all these endeavors we are duly supported by our Rector, Fr. Robert Pen sdb, the staff and student-community of Divyadaan.
The Activities
The
group actively and creatively animates the community on mission. In addition to
this we also celebrate the “missionary week” from 4th of November to
11th of November. The group also has the missionary notice board
where we post various animations like Cagliero 11, and replies of the missionaries
we correspond with. The group has been attentively studying the deliberations
of the “Study Meet” held in August 2012, on Salesian ministry in the Muslim
world. From last year onwards the missionary group commemorates MISSIONARY WEEK, a week before November 11.
