Prayer for Missionaries

Most merciful Lord,

You call people to follow you and serve you,

among peoples in need of evangelization.

We pray you to assist them,

and bless their endeavors,

they undertake,

to bring your kingdom,

among those, who do not yet know you.

We pray for ourselves

To enkindle in our hearts,

the desire to make you known,

in whatever situation we may be

and thus, be effective witnesses of the Lord

to the people whom we encounter.

May Jesus and Mary be with us

and guide us in all that we do

to spread His name wherever we go. Amen

Blest with the Grace to know the word

Reveals to us the Good Shepherd

Now His love urges us to share

‘My Presence with you always’

He sends his angels round us to guard

With empassioned hearts we march onward

Never fear, be not afraid

“Share his love”, our clarion call

“Be my witnesses”, Jesus says

“A beacon of light all your days

From your heart encompass the world

My voice, go be to guide the flock”

‘Neath your mantle mother we rest

We plead for grace to do the best
